FC Bayern Munich and FC Dallas have today announced a comprehensive partnership, the first of its kind, that will offer players within their professional academies a pathway to soccer both in the United States and Germany. 

FC 바이에른 뮌헨과 FC 댈러스는 오늘 포괄적 파트너십 체결을 발표했다. 이런 파트너십은 (바이에른 역사상?) 처음이며, 양 팀의 유스 선수들에게 미국과 독일에서 축구계로 진출할 기회를 제공할 것이다. 

 

The European powerhouse and founding Major League Soccer Member will come together to exchange talent, allowing young players to experience different coaching styles and settings to enhance their development. 

바이에른(유럽의 킹왕짱)과 댈러스(MLS의 창립멤버)는 각자의 인재를 교환하고, 이를 통해 그들에게 서로 다른 코칭 스타일과 환경을 경험함으로써 더욱 발전할 수 있도록 할 것이다. 

 

The top-flight clubs will collaborate on coaching, exchanging expertise that helped develop national team players, including Thomas M?ller, Mats Hummels, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Kellyn Acosta. Opportunities will also be created for the youngsters to play fixtures against one another in their respective countries. 

두 클럽은 토마스 뮐러, 마츠 후멜스, 바스티안 슈바인슈타이거, 켈린 아코스타(FC댈러스 소속으로 미국 대표이기도 함) 등의 국가대표 선수들을 길러내는 데 기여한 코칭, 전문 지식 교환에 협력할 것이다. 젊은 선수들도 양국에서 서로를 상대로 경기할 기회를 얻을 것이다. 

 

Like the city of Munich, North Texas is fast becoming a soccer hub with FC Dallas at the heart. Twenty academy players have signed for the club’s first team, the highest number in Major League Soccer with 10 players currently holding roster spots. In addition, at least 28 FC Dallas academy players have appeared with the youth national teams of the U.S., Canada or Mexico. 

뮌헨처럼 노스 텍사스 또한 FC 댈러스를 중심으로 한 축구 중심지로 빠르게 자리잡아가고 있다. 20명의 유스 출신 선수가 FC 댈러스 1군과 계약했는데, 이는 MLS에서 가장 높은 숫자로, 현재 로스터에는 10명이 속해 있다. 이에 더해서 FC 댈러스의 유스 선수 중 최소한 28명이 미국이나 캐나다, 멕시코 청소년 대표팀에 발탁된 바 있다. 

 

In December, three U.S. homegrown players from FC Dallas visited Munich to experience the same training as FC Bayern stars. 

(작년) 12월에는 FC 댈러스의 미국 홈그로운 선수 3명이 FC 바이에른의 스타들이 받는 훈련을 체험하기 위해 뮌헨을 방문했다. 

 

The Texas-based team sent their youngest player signing, 16-year-old forward Bryan Reynolds, who also represents the U.S. at international level (U-17) along with 17-year-old Paxton Pomykal who became FC Dallas’ youngest-ever starter in March. The midfielder also represents the U.S. U-18 National Team. In addition, 19-year-old defender Reggie Cannon who made his first team debut last year (February) attended the 10-day training experience. 

FC 댈러스는 소속 프로 선수 중 가장 어리고, 미국 U-17 대표이기도 한 16세의 공격수 브라이언 레이놀즈(Bryan Reynolds)와, (작년) 3월에 구단 사상 최연소 선발 선수였던 17세의 팩스턴 폼브칼(Paxton Pomvkal)을 보냈다. 폼브칼은 미국 U-18 대표이기도 하다. 추가로 작년 2월에 FC 댈러스 1군에 데뷔한 19세의 수비수 레지 캐넌(Reggie Cannon) 또한 동행하여 뮌헨에서의 10일 훈련 체험에 참가했다.
